GreatSchools Rating.
Parent Rating Average. This school is like an inner city school Parent Review 2y ago. Bayshore Elementary School. Parent Review 3y ago. Bonita Springs Elementary School. Pleasantly surprised by the teaching methods and leadership of this school.
Children are taught many valuable life-lessons, along with standard classroom instruction. They are expected to have respect for themselves and for each other, as well as for the teachers and staff. They are rewarded for good behavior, which in turn, motivates them to continue to behave well. I was also surprised that all the children "low income" or not are offered breakfast and lunch for free, as well as free school supplies.
Considering that this is not the case in all schools, it was an added plus. It was nice to see our tax money put to good use. My daughter also received some very nice gifts from generous benefactors. My child enjoyed her first full school year in kindergarten , thanks to a wonderful and caring teacher and staff. Looking forward to the next school year! Parent Review 4y ago. Caloosa Elementary School.
While we have been blessed with wonderful teachers at Caloosa I have found the Administration to be less caring. They have started losing teachers in the past few years as well. I think that speaks volumes about the leadership. Parent Review 8y ago. Cape Elementary School. We have been at this school for 3 years with no issues or complaints. The teachers and staff are amazing and welcoming. Both my children are very happy here at Cape Elementary.
Cypress Lake High School. Cypress Lake Middle School. I have 2 students enrolled in this school. They were very fortunate to be placed here.
They consistently have a wait list to get in because they are just that good in educating the whole child. Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School. Great School, we have 2 boys attending PLDMS and we are extremely happy with the school management, educators, and extra curriculum activities.
There is zero tolerance for Bulling. Principal and Vice-principals are hands on and making the difference in the life of many kids.
Very happy parent. Edgewood Academy. My daughter will graduate 5th grade this year, we've been at Edison since 3rd grade and have loved it. The school is so artsy and quaint. The Principal Ms. Trent is just awesome - she's approachable, understanding, patient with Parents and on the ball with bullying.
The Arts program is just great, you couldn't ask for a better experience for your child to have in learning about music, drama, art and dance. Highly recommend. Parent Review 1y ago. Franklin Park Elementary School. No reviews available for this school. Fort Myers Beach Elementary School. The staff is like family. Fort Myers High School. FMH is hands down the best High School in the area as far as academics are concerned. Especially for students that are bright and want to get into a good college after high school.
If your student enrolls in and successfully finishes the IB program, the sky is the limit. In addition, the school offers tons of AP classes for extra credits. FMH students have a very high acceptance rate at the best public college in the state, University of Florida. He was well prepared and it was an easy transition, partly because so many of his class mates from FMH joined him at UF. In addition to great academics, the school also has some of the best athletic teams. The girls basketball program won state 3 years in a row.
I still have 2 kids at this school junior and senior; both in the IB program and I am confident that they too will end up at a great college thanks to the excellent teaching staff at Fort Myers High.
Fort Myers Middle Academy. Negative experience there at the school. The secretary shanna Stewart that works front desk is clueless and takes forever just to complete 1 task. Heights Elementary School. I had to go to the school 4 times, wrote 2 letters, called before I finally saw the asst.
Colin English Elementary School. I am impressed with he staff and how personal they are. They honestly demonstrate a community family. Lehigh Elementary School. Dificil pues soy latina y no siempre encuentro apollo del claustro de profesores cuando he tenido preguntas y cuando he pedido conferencias no me las han otorgado.
Orange River Elementary School. Fabulous school! Because we moved out of the zone, we were only able to send my son for 3 years. They ability grouped the children so more individualized attention was possible. Bell is phenomenal. What she does for the children and their families is incredible. I honestly think she lives there. She is just that dedicated. Parent Review 11y ago.
Orangewood Elementary School. My sons teacher has nothing but negative things to say. My son is very intelligent, nice and never gets in trouble. However you can be sure if she opens her mouth it will be to complain about something.
Well of course later on, that boy she thinks is such an angel sent a text message to my phone you wouldnt believe. Riverdale High School. Riverdale is a family-oriented high school with caring, compassionate, and accomplished staff.
Riverdale is a part of our community and many generations of families have gone here. I really like what the new administration is doing and the kinds of teachers and classes that they are bringing in. Sports and IB is big here but kids who are not in those programs have a equally great academic program that they can get involved in. Tanglewood Elementary School. I highly recommend this school! The teachers are amazing and staff. Tice Elementary School. Tice's brand new building and renovated National Historic Registry building have a unique feel that makes Tice special.
Teacher Review 7y ago. Tropic Isles Elementary School. I couldn't be happier. My son is in kindergarten, and progressing ahead very rapidly.
I believe in part its the Glasser Sterling training, along with the continuing dedication of the teaching staff to maintain a very high standard of excellence. Parent Review 7y ago. Villas Elementary School. The school takes great pride in everything they do. The offer many after school clubs and my kids truly enjoy their time at school. Caloosa Middle School. Normal Garcia is rude and sarcastic Oh God!!!
Poor children!! They have to deal with this disrespectful woman everyday. Parent Review 6y ago. Any admin or teacher is not only willing to listen but come up with viable answers, not because it's policy:. PK-8 Public Students Lee.
I absolutely love this school! I would recommend this school to anyone! Parent Review 9y ago. Cape Coral High School. My son is very happy at this school! Pelican Elementary School. Every member of the staff shows that they truly love what they do. How they remember these students by name, beats me.. He has learned a lot. This school has proven time and time again to be the school with a heart!! Sad that my son graduates this yr, we will truly miss the staff.
San Carlos Park Elementary School. We are thrilled with this school. This is a unique accomplishment in a society that is pushing children too hard and not honoring the research-based value of play-based learning.
Spring Creek Elementary School. I have had a positive experience with this school. Highly recommend this school. Gulf Middle School. Just an awesome school. It's not huge, ranch style. I consider Gulf small but mighty. Gulf Elementary School. Warm atmosphere, friendly teachers and staff.
Lots of activities centered around the children. Lehigh Acres Middle School. This schools teachers and administrative staff are very poor for the exception of a few teachers that really care. The principal and asst principal don't care about students they are only there to collect a pay check.
Don't send your child to this very poor school and they also lie about everything that goes on at the school regarding how well the students are doing!!!! Buckingham Exceptional Student Center. PK Public 87 Students Lee. The best school ever! Amazing voulenter, and teachers!
Sunshine Elementary School. You let your teachers literally tear students down. Faculty always on the teachers side. I'm so glad my children are out of this school this year. Just awful!!!! Parent Review 5y ago. Lee Adolescent Mothers Program. Staff not organized, children are taking computized tests to test out of each grade but are not getting moved up.
Teacher Review 4y ago. Estero High School. Royal Palm Exceptional School Center. PK Public Students Lee. It was the school that I attended for till i graduated in Other Review 5y ago.
Mariner High School. I highly recommend it since this year I have my 2nd daughter and she is getting the same support my first daughter get to enter in the best college to study.
Three Oaks Elementary School. Worst mistake I made for my kids. Another fun experience Three Oaks has for the parents. And kindergarteners get grades at this school- very fast paced! Skyline Elementary School. Fantastic school with staff who is caring and willing to help students flourish and learn. Friendly office staff and a positive environment for students and parents. Would like to be able to get more involved and they seem to be open to volunteering.
Trafalgar Middle School. As a very hands-on parent, determined for my child's success, I found numerous meetings at school, on every staff level, was futile. Overworked and underpaid? I just cannot care about that, when my child's well-being and self-esteem is at stake and of utmost Priority.
Colonial Elementary School. We came from Puerto Rico and my daughter was assing to this school in 3 grade and now she will start 5 we love the way they have been helping her out she is a star student. Diplomat Elementary School. We started here in 05 and it was great at first. Kid 2 eventually started and despite being a bit behind developmentally his teacher got him caught up in a matter of weeks.
As the years went on it became apparent he had a learning issue, which we had dx'd and was found to be Autism. Literally took a week or 2. His dx came in and then he was basically just abandoned in his 4th and 5th grade classes. Bullied a lot as well, but nothing ever done as the teacher never saw anything supposedly.
My other children had amazing teachers except when 1 went to 3rd grade. Her teacher called the kids names in Spanish and mocked them, etc. She unfairly graded the kids and at some point a parent managed to get something done and she was fired. Caruso refused to do anything about this teacher at anytime prior.
In the end we had some great teachers and some real scumbag one's. When my kids needed more than Diplomat could give we switched to a school with full time gifted. Just in time too, as a scumbag teacher took over the part time gifted class and it would have never went well for my 4th child in it. Now the school has dropped in their test scores, the principal changed before we left and was mediocre. She seemed like she was biding her time til retirement. Office staff changed too and the 2 that were super nice were gone, replaced with snarky one's.
Gateway Elementary School. My daughter loves all her teachers over the last 4 years here. Everyone know her name. The front office even remembers me. They helped get my daughter interested in reading, and she made millionaire, where she read over a million words this school year. This school keeps her engaged and wanting to do more. I love this school.
You would not believe the great science programs at this school!! They have been award winning for the last four years, earning grants to support a community forest, a hydroponic system, many gardens , and a science lab full of animals for the students to study.
There is even a zookeepers club. The community has become involved and the students do service learning projects in the community. There are three great churches providing adult volunteers to work with the students. There is a real family atmosphere with everyone working together. I am proud that my four kids got to experience this. Three Oaks Middle School.
Cape Coral Institute Of Technology. K-9 Public Lee. The nursing program is like a fifth year in high school. Only worse. Definitely does not resemble a college setting. The first semester teacher thinks that its boot camp.
To the point of being downright rude. Might be fine for someone in their teens or early 20's. For a 30, 40, or 50 something its just a bad experience.
Try not to forget that we are adults with kids and lives. Some of us are in our 2nd or 3rd career. Had a whole unit on budgeting money and paying bills. What does that have to do with nursing? Their equipment is so old that improvisation and imagination are the themes of the day. Entirely too much busy work. A new affordable option from Home Partners of America.
